Check out all the events I'll be going to this year (so far). I'll be hosting panels, sitting in on panels, selling and signing books, and, of course, marketing the Fredericksburg Book Festival!
NOVA Teen Book Festival
NoVa TEEN 2018 is a FREE festival celebrating Young Adult (YA) fiction. It’s a day-long event packed with books, authors, and activities in Arlington, Virginia. It’s the first event of its kind in the Arlington and Washington DC-metro area. Book lovers of all ages are welcome!
The Con of Opportunity returns to Williamsburg, Virginia with over 300 hours of programming in one action-packed weekend! Gaming, panels, signings, kids’ programming, workshops, readings, vendors, authors, artists, tournaments, costuming, anime, movies, concerts, books, books, and more books! There’s always something to do at RavenCon.
Tidewater Comicon is the brainchild of founder Mike Federali who wanted to see a local comic book convention become a reality so bad he sold his entire comic book collection at garage sales, flea markets (and even on AMC’s Comic Book Men) to make the show possible. Thanks to the yard sales, fundraisers, Tidewater Comicon moved to the Virginia Beach Convention Center where it has continued to grow each year in space and attendance. The show reached it’s highest attendance so far with 23,000 fans.
Rock the River
Rock the River FXBG is a celebration of the best live music, craft breweries and outdoor activities our area has to offer. Held on the first Saturday of June each year, the 2017 event is scheduled for June 3rd and promises to be a fun time for all. Proceeds from the event benefit our charity partners, the ACA, and Friends of the Rappahannock, as well as other local non-profits.
Art in the Park
Blerdcon is an event that highlights and celebrates Blerd culture and creates a marketplace of ideas where sharing that culture can take place with proper context, attribution and positivity in an inclusive environment. Blerdcon celebrates our connection with LGBTQ, the disabled, POCs and the international community! All are welcome to partake in the experience as we are an open community who love all the same nerddom.
